Apeksha has a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Clinical Psychology, from the Post Graduate Institute of Behavioural and Medical Sciences, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (CG), India affiliated to the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi [provisional license no.- rci-2019-92853-A]. She also has a Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology (Clinical), from Christ University, Bengaluru. She has worked with clients of various ages, backgrounds and conditions and can also perform psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings. Apeksha experiences lie in hospitals, therapeutic communities, rehabilitation and de-addiction centres in different parts of the country. She has been conducting workshops in relation to life skills and mental health awareness at schools and colleges as well as teaching courses such as Psychopathology and Psychotherapy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Apeksha conceptualizes mental disorders from the psychological, neuropsychological and behavioural perspectives. She has had experiences working in both, clinical and rehabilitative settings. She employs techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational enhancement, family therapy and group therapy. Her interest lies in working with the adolescent and adult populations dealing with issues related to anxiety, depression and substance use.
Other than being a Clinical Psychologist, Apeksha surrounds herself with inspiring/hilarious and binge-worthy TV series. She loves books- the fictional kind, animals- the doggo and catto kind and writing- the poetic kind. Whenever she is free, she loves to take very long naps.
