Khushnud is a Senior Therapist with over 20 years of experience, supporting adults through emotional transitions and changing life roles. She holds a PhD in in Counselling Psychology (Ball State University, Indiana, U.S.A). She also has Masters in Counselling Psychology (Ball State University), a Masters in Clinical Psychology (S.N.D.T University, Mumbai, India), and is trained in Narrative Therapy, combining strong academic grounding with deep clinical insight.

Khushnud has worked at educational institutions, medical facilities, counselling centers, and in private practice, both in the US and in India. She has worked with adults and children from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. She has also conducted trainings and workshops, and has set up systems in organizations in order to better serve the mental health needs of individuals and families.

Her work is rooted in understanding the stories people carry about themselves – shaped by expectations, relationships, and responsibility – and helping reframe these narratives with compassion and clarity.

As a practicing psychologist, Khushnud believes in the collaborative nature of therapy, and takes a systemic and humanistic perspective in her work. She also believes in the efficacy of solution-focused therapy in her work with clients, and that individual concerns need to be examined and considered within the social and cultural context. With a calm, reassuring presence, Khushnud helps clients slow down, make meaning of change, and reconnect with themselves amidst demanding professional and personal lives. Her sessions are known for their depth, warmth, and ability to leave people feeling grounded rather than emotionally drained.

Outside of work, Khushnud loves to read and swim. She has also discovered that baking isn’t so hard after all!
