Khushnud has a Ph.D in Counselling Psychology (Ball State University, Indiana, U.S.A). She also has Masters in Counselling Psychology (Ball State
University), and a Masters in Clinical Psychology (S.N.D.T University, Mumbai, India). As a psychologist with over 17+ years of experience, Khushnud has worked at educational institutions, medical facilities, counselling centers, and in private practice, both in the US and in India. She has worked with adults and children from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. She has also conducted trainings and workshops, and has set up systems in organizations in order to better serve the mental health needs of individuals and families.

As a practicing psychologist, Khushnud believes in the collaborative nature of therapy, and takes a systemic and humanistic perspective in her work. She also believes in the efficacy of solution-focused therapy in her work with clients. Coming from this perspective, and believing that individual concerns also need to be examined and considered within the social and cultural context, more recently she has been drawn to and is training in Narrative therapy.

Outside of work, Khushnud loves to read and swim. She has also discovered that baking isn’t so hard after all!
